This workshop uses outcomes from the 'Webb-Share: Celebrating our Victorian Astronomy Heritage' project - coordinated by The Share Initiative during 2007-2010.  Museum loan boxes for the themes 'communication' and 'observation' and telescopes are used to illustrate the lives of three famous Victorian astronomers from Herefordshire.
See: http://www.spacewatch.co.uk for more details of this project.
The Victorians are studied during Key Stage 2 in primary schools.  These new resources allow children to learn about three local pioneers who together boosted amateur astronomy in the mid-nineteenth century.
